This website is provided as a public service to the citizens of Indiana by the Associated Builders & Contractors of Indiana.
ABC of Indiana is affiliated with 75 other chapters across America, representing more than 23,000 Merit Shop construction companies.
ABC is the only organization other than the state and the AFL-CIO to participate in the common wage process.
ABC collects and distributes common wage information for all 92 counties. ABC generated information is a legitimate alternative body of information that meets all of the statutory and later case law requirements of which a committee may use the data as a basis for adoption.
The cost of public construction in Indiana has traditionally been much higher than the national average. One reason is that the majority of wage scales adopted have reflected super or maximum wages instead of what is commonly paid in the respective county.
Indiana taxpayers deserve no less than fairness in the construction of public projects.
